A massive congratulations to the Killean teams today who won the Thomas Mallon Cup. This is the first time the cup has come to Killean and it is even more prominent because of the man who the cup was named after. Thomas Mallon was a former principal of Killean and was such an important part in the history of our school and what it has become today.
Today's victory is all down to the wonderful boys and girls in our two Killean teams. Everyone of them played their part and were amazing. They gave it their all and done not only their school and the staff proud but also themselves. We cannot put into words how proud we are of you all. We cannot wait to see these children playing for Armagh in the future.
Well done to the other schools, Cloughoge and Meigh, they were brilliant opponents today and didn't make it easy for the Killean teams.
A massive thank you to the Mallon Family and Killeavy GAA for today, it was a great day for all involved and the children loved every minute of it. We would also like to thank all the parents who came to support the children and the school today and a special mention to Mrs Carr who helped take one of our teams today and was great help to all the children.
We hope now that Killean Primary School will be home to the Thomas Mallon Cup for many years to come.
