P4 visit to Newry Library
8th Jan 2019
P4 had a very enjoyable visit to Newry Library today. Corwyn took them on a tour of the ground floor and the children’s library. He explained how the fiction books were organised alphabetically based on the author’s surname and the non fiction books were organised based on the Dewey decimal system. The children listened to a story, were told how they could become a member and they also got a chance to browse through the books. Before leaving, the children met Chris the resident historian, who told them lots of interesting facts about Carlingford Lough.
