The Ronan Baker Memorial School Cup
On Monday, our Primary 5, 6 and 7 boys and girls attended the first annual Ronan Baker Memorial Hurling/Camogie School Cup Competition along with the students from St Joseph's, Meigh and St. Moninna's PS, Cloughoge
Even with the weather taking a turn for the worse, the skills on display were amazing from all the boys and girls that attended. After five competitive matches, it was down to our boys and girls and the students from Cloughoge PS, with our boys and girls coming out as champions.
We are so proud of every single one of them and it is such an amazing achievement from such a talented group of our hurlers.
We would like to congratulate all the boys and girls who attended and say thanks to all the staff, for the hard work and commitment by Killeavy GAC and their volunteers, who looked after everybody, from the referees to the organisers themselves.
Finally we would like to thank the Baker family for their support and for giving our boys and girls the opportunity to showcase their skills in honour of such a wonderful man. We hope that this victory will encourage more to take up the sport and we look forward to being involved every year.
Congratulations to our boys and girls again!!!
