Dear Parents,
This is a school year in which we all face new challenges. New arrangements have been put in place to safeguard the health of our pupils and their families and the health of our staff. We are very grateful for your cooperation in helping the arrangements for the New School Day to run smoothly.
Killean PS has always received great support from the community and that support enhances the experiences of all the children. Traditionally we would be planning our first Bun Sale at this time of the year, unfortunately due to the current health crisis that is not possible at the present moment. Many of our annual fund raisers will not be able to go ahead as normal due to the restrictions we are facing as a result of COVID-19.
We normally raise fund through:
- Easy Fundraising (Funds generated from online shopping – see link on home page of school website. Use this link every time you shop online to raise funds for the school at no cost to yourself.)
These fund raising events help us to provide additional equipment for the children which the school budget will not cover.
We are currently looking at additional ways of raising funds, while allowing the children to remain in their bubbles.
For our first Fund Raiser this year we ask you to Sponsor your child’s Daily Mile. Each class will complete the Daily Mile Challenge on the school grounds (with their class bubble) during the week beginning 21st September. You may use School Money to sponsor your child, or send cash into their teacher. We greatly appreciate your support at this challenging time for schools everywhere.
